Who Can Be Nominated?

Recipients of the New England Sociologist of the Year Award are members of NESA who practice sociology within the New England region. Nominees may be academics, independent scholars, or sociological practitioners. Members associated with academic institutions may be of any rank, but they would typically have established a substantial body of scholarship and/or service to the discipline.

How Do I Nominate Someone?

Nominations for the New England Sociologist of the Year Award are accepted throughout the year. The Awards Committee will review nominations received by January 15 in consideration for the award to be presented the following April.
